research

Zaha Hadid is an architect who has a flare for creating designs in very unusual ways. Her work is futuristic looking, and very surrealistically unique. There are designs with sharp lines, random and bizarre looking angles that seems like it defies the laws of gravity. Her work to me looks photoshopped because I question things like stability, supporting structures and protruding levels that can look like its floating.

I absolutely love Peter Zumthors' work. His designs are beautiful. In his work, he uses a lot of water and its so pretty. I'm interested in this architect because his designs are simple. They are sometimes located in secluded areas with amazing landscapes in the back ground.  Simple things like lights at the bottom of a pool can make so much of a difference to the overall design, the results effective. It's inspiring in a way that could reflect on any architectural designs i'ld ever make.

political art

I don't think I can actually relate to street political art in general, but I see examples all around me in the streets all the time. Example; there's signs on the streets advertising election campaigns. The electorates are trying to persuade us to vote by giving us reasons to vote for them. They promise things they think would convince us, but do they take it to heart what we really want? In this case I don't care much for it, I'll be in the passenger seat of a car and I'll see a sign with an electorates face with his/hers professional smile. I would then shrug it of.
I think they can be manipulative, and ruthless, and I can see the hype other people talk about when it comes to power plays during this particular time, especially when it comes to oppositions. Just a couple of weeks ago, I was on my way to the class taking the bus. The driver had stop at an intersection waiting for the red light to turn green. Just under the traffic light to the left where pedestrians wait to cross in front of the bus, was a man with a big white board with neon pink, yellow, and orange writing that read "Len Brown the scum". I'm not sure If it was a jab from another opposition, or a person with a strong dislike for Len Brown. What I did know, was that the sign was quite pretty.
